
Hugh has a B.Sc. in Agriculture and a M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management from Edinburgh University. He worked first as a lecturer in agricultural colleges in Derbyshire and Surrey, and then moved to the Borders in 1992 to work with the Scottish Wildlife Trust. He then worked as an advisor with the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group and with Borders Forest Trust as Site Manager. With the Tweed Forum, he is concerned with assisting landowners to restore wetlands, manage floodplains and control diffuse pollution.
