Land Use Strategy Pilot - Completion

The Scottish Borders Land Use Strategy (LUS) pilot finishes in the Spring of 2015. This project has involved widespread Stakeholder engagement over the last 2 years. The project team of Scottish Borders Council, Tweed Forum, Dundee University & Environment Systems wish to express their thanks to those who engaged with it and contributed to it.

A LUS mapping tool is currently being developed and will be hosted on Scottish Borders Council’s Local View Fusion website over the summer of 2015. The LUS pilot is non- statutory and non-regulatory. It is designed as a guide and framework through which land use decision making can be discussed.

The project team hope that the goodwill and support of stakeholders can be maintained going forward and we will update you as soon as we can on how you can get involved in future.

The LUS pilot supporting documents and maps are available to view on the Council's website at:

Although official consultation has ended, comments regarding the Land Use Strategy approach can still be made by sending an e-mail to info@tweedforum.org
